Subject: Canonical Name to SMTP email translation
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Specification
Platform: Not Applicable
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

We are trying to understand if there is a correlation on how a Canonical Name can be converted to SMTP email address. We are performing a legacy email data migration which involves converting email file format from NSF to EML. We only have the latest Lotus Notes address book as against all the changes to a particular Lotus Notes profile done during the course of user's time on the system.

For example:
I need to know how to formulate the email address for below cases.

Name change:
CN=Maria Fe B Barillo/OU=SERVICER/OU=SW/O=FHLMC
CN=Maria Fe B Diocera/OU=SERVICER/OU=SW/O=FHLMC
CN=Maria Fe B Ghoneim/OU=SERVICER/OU=SW/O=FHLMC

Department change:
CN=Robert E Cadow/OU=MSP/OU=HQ/O=FHLMC
CN=Robert E Cadow/OU=SALES/OU=HQ/O=FHLMC
CN=Robert E Cadow/OU=SELLER/OU=HQ/O=FHLMC
